From Waltham Common, walk to the nearest bus stop at Main St @ Waltham Common. Take the MBTA bus #70 towards Alewife Station. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at Alewife Station, then transfer to the Red Line towards Ashmont/Braintree. Travel for 5 stops and get off at Kendall/MIT Station. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes: head east on Main St toward Broadway, continue onto Waverly St, then turn left onto Massachusetts Ave. The MIT Chapel will be on your left at 48 Massachusetts Ave.
Walking
Starting from Waltham Common, head south on Main St. Continue straight to stay on Main St for about half a mile until you reach the intersection with Commonwealth Ave. Turn right onto Commonwealth Ave and continue for about 1 mile. As you enter Cambridge, Commonwealth Ave will become Beacon St. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Massachusetts Ave. Turn left onto Massachusetts Ave and walk for about 0.3 miles. The MIT Chapel will be on your right at 48 Massachusetts Ave.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one from a local bike-sharing service. Start from Waltham Common and head south on Main St. Continue straight onto Commonwealth Ave for about a mile. As you enter Cambridge, Commonwealth Ave becomes Beacon St. Follow Beacon St until you reach the intersection with Massachusetts Ave. Turn left onto Massachusetts Ave and ride for about 0.3 miles. The MIT Chapel will be on your right at 48 Massachusetts Ave.
