Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto I-91 N from your location in Western Massachusetts. Depending on your starting point, you may need to use local roads to reach I-91. Once on I-91 N, take exit 25 for MA-116 toward Hadley/Amherst. Turn left onto MA-116 N and continue for about 2 miles. Then, take a right onto West Street (MA-116) and follow it for approximately 1 mile. The entrance to Mount Holyoke Range State Park will be on your right at 1500 West St, Amherst, MA 01002. There may be a parking fee of around $5, so be sure to have cash or a credit card ready.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transportation, start by taking the Peter Pan Bus Lines or Greyhound to Amherst, MA. Once you arrive at the Amherst bus station, you can take the PVTA Bus #30 towards Hadley. Get off at the West Street stop. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to the park entrance at 1500 West St. Be sure to check the schedule for the bus, as it may not run frequently, especially on weekends.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can bike to the park using local bike paths. If you're starting in Amherst, follow the bike path that leads from the downtown area towards the Mount Holyoke Range. The route will take you along scenic roads and through residential neighborhoods. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules. The park entrance at 1500 West St is accessible by bike, and there are bike racks available for parking.

• Walking

  If you're already in Amherst and nearby, you can walk to Mount Holyoke Range State Park. From downtown Amherst, head west on Amity Street until you reach West Street. Turn right and walk approximately 1.5 miles straight to the park entrance at 1500 West St. This scenic walk allows you to enjoy the local architecture and nature along the way.
