Walking
From the main market area in El Mina, head east along Avenue de la République. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach Place Tahrir. From there, turn right onto Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Continue walking for another 500 meters, and you will see Mosque Ould Abas on your left. The mosque is located near a small park, making it a recognizable landmark.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one from a nearby shop in El Mina. Start by cycling towards Avenue de la République and head east for approximately 1 kilometer. Once you reach Place Tahrir, turn right onto Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Continue cycling for about 500 meters until you arrive at Mosque Ould Abas, located on your left near a small park. Renting a bicycle usually costs around 200 MRU per hour.

Public Transport (shared taxi)
You can take a shared taxi from any point in El Mina towards the center of Nouakchott. Look for a taxi with 'La Capitale' written on it. The fare is typically around 50 MRU. Ask the driver to drop you off near Place Tahrir. From there, it’s a short walk east along Avenue du Général de Gaulle for about 500 meters to reach Mosque Ould Abas, which will be on your left.
