Bus
From Black River, head to the nearest bus stop. You can catch a bus heading towards the Chamarel area. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Ensure you ask the bus driver to let you know when you reach Chamarel. Once you arrive at the bus stop in Chamarel, you will need to walk about 1.5 kilometers (approximately 20 minutes). Head straight along the main road, 7 Colored Earth Road. Look for signs that direct you to the Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark.
Walking
If you are starting from a central location in Black River, you can also opt to walk to Chamarel. Start by heading towards the main road (Royal Road). Walk along the Royal Road until you reach the junction with the road that leads to Chamarel. Turn onto the Chamarel Road and continue walking for about 6 kilometers. This will take approximately 1.5 hours. The road is mostly downhill until you reach Chamarel, so be prepared for a bit of a climb on your way back.
Taxi
For a more comfortable option, consider taking a taxi from Black River to Chamarel. Taxis are readily available in Black River, and you can negotiate a fare with the driver. The taxi ride will take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to communicate your destination clearly—Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark (7 Colored Earth Road).
