If you are starting from the center of Grand Gaube, head south on the Coastal Road (Route C). Walk towards the direction of the beach, and continue straight for about 2 kilometers. You will pass by several local shops and small eateries. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Black River. Once you reach a junction, turn left and continue straight for another 1.5 kilometers. You will see the Martello Tower Museum on your right, easily identifiable by its cylindrical shape and coastal location.

From Grand Gaube, walk to the nearest bus stop along the Coastal Road. Take any bus heading towards Black River; the fare is minimal, usually around 20-30 Mauritian Rupees. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Martello Tower stop. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you disembark, walk back a short distance along the road; the Martello Tower Museum will be on your left.
