Getting There

Car
From Plaines Wilhems, head southwest on the M3 motorway towards Curepipe. Continue on M3 until you reach the junction with the M2. Merge onto the M2 and continue driving towards the southwest direction. Follow the signs for Chamarel. Once you reach the village of Chamarel, look for 7 Colored Earth Road. The Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark is located on this road. Parking is available on-site. Note that there may be an entry fee of around MUR 250 per person.

Start by taking a bus from Plaines Wilhems to Curepipe. Look for buses heading towards the Curepipe bus terminal. Upon arriving at Curepipe, transfer to a bus heading to Chamarel. These buses may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. Once you reach Chamarel, get off at the stop closest to 7 Colored Earth Road. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark. Be prepared for a small entry fee of around MUR 250 per person.
