Bus
From the central bus station in Port Louis, you can catch a bus heading towards Grand Baie. Look for buses that indicate 'Grand Baie' on their front. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive in Grand Baie, get off at the Grand Baie bus terminal. From there, you can take a local bus or a taxi to Cap Malheureux. The local bus to Cap Malheureux should be clearly marked, and the ride will take around 15 minutes.
Walking
If you are staying near the waterfront in Port Louis, you can enjoy a scenic walk to Cap Malheureux. Head north along the coast towards the Citadel. Continue walking until you reach the main road, then turn left onto the A3 road which leads to Grand Baie. Follow the road for about 7 kilometers. Be sure to stay on the sidewalk and watch for traffic. After reaching Cap Malheureux, you will find the beach at the end of the road.
Taxi
For a more direct route, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Port Louis to Cap Malheureux. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The taxi driver will take you directly to the beach area, where you can enjoy the beautiful views and local atmosphere.
Bicycle
If you are feeling adventurous and want to explore Port Louis and its surroundings, consider renting a bicycle. Start your ride from the central area of Port Louis and head towards the coastal road that leads to Grand Baie. Follow signs for Cap Malheureux. The ride is around 10 kilometers and will take about an hour. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local cycling regulations.
