If you are starting at the Port Louis Waterfront, begin by walking towards the Caudan Waterfront area. From the waterfront, head towards the main road and take the direction of Rue de la Corderie. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue des Rocs. Turn left onto Rue des Rocs and follow it until you reach the intersection with Sebastopol Street. Turn right onto Sebastopol Street. Continue walking up Sebastopol Street until you see the entrance to Citadelle (Fort Adelaide) on your left.

Public Transport (Bus)
If you are near the Central Market in Port Louis, walk to the nearest bus stop and take any bus heading towards 'Les Salines' or 'Jardin de la Compagnie'. Inform the bus driver that you want to get off at 'Fort Adelaide'. After getting off the bus, walk up the hill along the path that leads directly to the Citadelle (Fort Adelaide). Follow the signs and you will reach the fort.

From the Aapravasi Ghat UNESCO World Heritage Site, walk towards Rue de la Corderie. Turn left onto Rue de la Corderie and continue until you reach the intersection with Rue des Rocs. Turn right onto Rue des Rocs, then left onto Sebastopol Street. Continue walking up Sebastopol Street, and you will soon see the entrance to Citadelle (Fort Adelaide) on your left.
