Bus
From Poste de Flacq, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on the main road (Route Royale). Look for a bus heading to Grand Baie. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Grand Baie bus terminal, you will see signs directing you to the Grand Baie Public Beach, which is about a 10-minute walk from the terminal. Head west along the coastal road (Coastal Road) until you reach the beach.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from any location in Poste de Flacq. Simply ask the driver to take you to Grand Baie Public Beach. The journey will take around 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your trip.
Walking
If you are in a nearby area such as Belle Mare or Trou d'Eau Douce, you can walk to the bus stop on the main road and take a bus to Grand Baie. Alternatively, if you are feeling adventurous and are staying relatively close, you can walk along the coastal path towards Grand Baie. Follow the coastline, and you will eventually reach the beach. This may take a couple of hours depending on your starting point, so plan accordingly.
