From the center of Mamoudzou, head towards the waterfront area, following the main road (Rue de la République) southwards. As you walk, enjoy the local shops and cafes. Continue walking until you reach the roundabout near the port. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rue du Général de Gaulle. Follow this road as it curves around the coastline.

Continue along Rue du Général de Gaulle, which will eventually lead you to a pedestrian path that goes along the coast. Keep following the path until you reach a point where you can see the island of Petite Terre in the distance. This will be a good indication that you are nearing Dzaoudzi.
