Bus
If you are near the main tourist area, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for a bus heading towards 'Centro' or 'Museos'. Once onboard, inform the driver that you want to go to the Acapulco Historical Museum of Fort San Diego. The bus ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. After approximately 10 stops, get off at the 'Zócalo' stop. From there, walk towards the beach, and you will see the museum just a few blocks inland on Hornitos street.

If you are staying in the Centro area, you can walk to the Acapulco Historical Museum of Fort San Diego. Head towards the Zócalo (the main square) and from there, walk north towards Calle Cuauhtémoc. Continue straight until you reach Hornitos street, then turn left. The museum will be on your right-hand side, just a short walk away.

Find a taxi from your current location. You can either hail one on the street or ask your hotel to call one for you. Once in the taxi, tell the driver 'Museo Histórico de Fort San Diego' or simply 'Fort San Diego Museum'. The drive will take about 10-15 minutes from most locations in Acapulco Centro. Look for the museum on Hornitos street; it is located near the coastline.
