If you are staying in the Acapulco Centro area, you can easily walk to Catedral de Acapulco. Start at the main square, Plaza Álvarez, which is a popular gathering place. From there, head east on Calle 16 de Septiembre. Continue straight for about 3 blocks until you reach the intersection with Avenida Miguel Alemán. Turn left and walk one block until you reach the corner of Independencia. The cathedral will be on your right at Independencia 1.

The fare is typically low, and you will be dropped off near the main market area. Once you get off, walk towards the Plaza Álvarez, then proceed east along Calle 16 de Septiembre for about 3 blocks. Turn left on Avenida Miguel Alemán, and after one block, turn right on Independencia. The cathedral will be located at Independencia 1.
