Getting There

  • Bus

    From Ixtapa, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located near the main entrance of the Ixtapa shopping mall. Look for a bus that has 'Zihuatanejo' or 'Zihua' written on it. Buses run frequently, approximately every 10-15 minutes. The ride takes about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Zihuatanejo bus terminal, you can either walk or take a taxi to reach the Centro area.

  • Taxi

    If you're already in Ixtapa and would prefer a taxi, you can either hail one on the street or ask your hotel to call one for you. Be sure to ask the driver to take you to Centro, Zihuatanejo. The taxi ride will take around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Confirm the fare beforehand if you're not using a meter.

  • Walking

    If you are staying close to the beach area of Ixtapa, you can walk towards Playa Linda and then follow the path that leads to the main road. Continue walking on the main road towards Zihuatanejo.
