Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the central area of Playa del Carmen, start by heading towards Avenida 5. From there, walk north until you reach Calle 4 Nte. Turn left onto Calle 4 Nte and continue walking until you see Scuba Libre located between the 5th Avenue and the federal maritime zone. The total walking distance should take around 10-15 minutes depending on your starting point.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in the central Playa del Carmen area. Head towards Avenida 5 and cycle north. When you reach Calle 4 Nte, turn left and continue cycling until you arrive at Scuba Libre, which is situated between the 5th Avenue and the federal maritime zone. The bike ride should take approximately 5-10 minutes.

• Taxi

  Hail a taxi from anywhere in Playa del Carmen. Make sure to tell the driver to take you to Scuba Libre located on Calle 4 Nte between 5th Avenue and the federal maritime zone. Taxi rides within the central area should take around 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic.

• Public Transportation

  Look for the local colectivo (shared van) service that operates along the main roads in Playa del Carmen. Board one heading towards the Centro zone. Once you arrive in the central area, disembark near Avenida 5 and walk towards Calle 4 Nte. Turn left and walk until you reach Scuba Libre. The whole journey should take about 15-20 minutes.
