From the main square in Guanajuato, Plaza de la Paz, head towards Calle 5 de Febrero and walk straight for about 700 meters until you reach the intersection with Calle Zacatecas. Turn left onto Calle Zacatecas and continue walking for about 300 meters. You will find Museo de la Independencia at Zacatecas 6, on your right.

Public Transport
Take a bus from the central bus station in Guanajuato (Central de Autobuses) heading towards Dolores Hidalgo. Buses to Dolores Hidalgo run frequently. After about a 40-minute ride, get off at the main bus terminal in Dolores Hidalgo. From the terminal, head south on Calle 5 de Febrero, then turn right onto Zacatecas. The museum will be on your left at Zacatecas 6.
