Buses leave regularly from the main bus terminal in Puerto Vallarta, and the fare is about 30 MXN per person. Once you arrive in Boca de Tomatlán, follow the signs to the dock and purchase a ticket for a water taxi to Yelapa. The water taxi ride typically costs between 150 to 200 MXN and will take you directly to Yelapa, where you can then hike to the waterfall.
Walking
Once you arrive in Yelapa via water taxi, you will need to walk to the waterfall. From the dock, head east along the main path that leads into the village. Continue straight, and you will see signs directing you to the waterfall. The hike is approximately 30 to 45 minutes and involves some elevation gain, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
