From the center of Matamoros, locate the main bus terminal (Terminal de Autobuses de Matamoros). Take a bus to South Padre Island. Buses typically depart every hour. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride which should take about an hour and a half. After reaching the South Padre Island bus station, exit the bus and walk towards the beach area.

From the South Padre Island bus station, head east on W Queen Isabella Blvd towards State Park Rd 100. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with State Park Rd 100. Turn right onto State Park Rd 100 and continue walking straight for about 1 mile. Andy Bowie County Park will be on your left at 7300 State Park Rd 100.
