Start your journey by taking the Metro Line 3 (Green Line) from any station in Mexico City. Head towards the last stop, Indios Verdes. Once you arrive at Indios Verdes station, transfer to Metro Line 7 (Orange Line) towards El Rosario. Get off at the La Villa-Basílica station. From there, exit the station and head to the bus stop located just outside the station.

At the La Villa-Basílica bus stop, look for a bus heading towards Tlalpan (you can ask locals or check the bus schedule). Board the bus, and stay on until you reach the Tlalpan area. Inform the bus driver that you are going to Xitle, and they will let you know when to get off. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.

Once you get off the bus in Tlalpan, you will likely be dropped off near the main square. From there, you can ask for directions to Xitle, which is a popular hiking area.
