Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the city of Monterrey. Take Avenida Constitución towards the northwest and continue straight to merge onto the Carretera Nacional 85. After about 15 kilometers, take the exit toward García/Cerro de la Silla. Follow signs for García and merge onto Carretera a Villa de García. Continue for about 10 kilometers, and you will see the signs for Grutas de García on your right. There is a parking area available at the site, and the entrance fee is approximately 100 MXN per person.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, head to the Terminal de Autobuses de Monterrey (the bus station in Monterrey). Look for buses heading towards Villa de García, which are frequent. The bus ride will take about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive in Villa de García, you can take a local taxi to reach Grutas de García, which is about 10 minutes away. Taxi fares are generally around 80-100 MXN. Be sure to confirm the fare before starting your ride.
Guided Tours
Another option is to book a guided tour that includes transportation from Monterrey. Many tour companies offer packages that include round-trip transportation to Grutas de García along with a guided tour of the caves. Prices vary, but expect to pay around 600-800 MXN per person.
