Bus
From the city center of Oaxaca, head to the 'Central de Autobuses' (bus terminal) located at Calle de la Independencia. You can take a taxi or a local bus to get there. Once at the terminal, look for the buses heading to 'Teotitlan del Valle'. Buses frequently leave throughout the day and take about 30 minutes to reach the village. The fare is approximately 20-30 MXN. After arriving in Teotitlan del Valle, disembark at the main square (plaza), which is a central point in the village.

Collective Taxi (Colectivo)
From the city center of Oaxaca, walk to the area near the 'Central de Autobuses' (bus terminal). Look for the colectivos (shared taxis) that have signs indicating they go to 'Teotitlan del Valle'. Collectivos leave when they are full, so it might be quicker than a regular bus. The fare is around 50 MXN and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the main square in Teotitlan del Valle.

For the adventurous, consider walking from Oaxaca to Teotitlan del Valle. This is a longer journey of about 14 km (approximately 3-4 hours), but it offers a unique experience of the local landscape and villages along the way. The route is relatively safe, but be cautious of traffic as you walk along the road.
