He has an impressive depth of knowledge about Oaxaca cuisine, a knack for teaching, and a warm way of hosting that makes you feel both as if you are having a luxury experience and as if you are passing time with a friend. I left with a full belly, a big smile, and a few new recipes to replicate at home.

Oaxaca City Art Tour with Sara

Four of us did the City Art Tour with Sara, a local linocut artist and muralist, on Tuesday, Jan 7th. To me it was one of the highlights of our visit to Oaxaca. We visited the barrios of Xochimilco and Jalatlaco and learned lots about traditions, history, symbolism of murals, the art perspectives of different artists and so much more…., not to mention what a feast it was for the eyes! We very much enjoyed Sara as a guide. She was very knowledgeable and full of interesting facts. Her English was fluid, clear and rich. On top of everything, she was very gracious considering that I had mixed the dates of the reservation but she was able to accommodate our schedule. In sum, we had a great experience and I highly recommend this tour
