Car
If you are driving from the nearest major city, Puerto Escondido, take Highway 200 heading east. After about 40 kilometers, you will see signs for Mazunte. Take the exit towards Mazunte and follow the winding road for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the beach. Parking is available near the beach but may incur a small fee, typically around 50-100 MXN for the day.

Bus
From either Puerto Escondido or Oaxaca City, you can take a long-distance bus to Mazunte. If you are coming from Puerto Escondido, head to the ADO bus terminal and catch a direct bus to Mazunte. The journey takes about 1 hour and costs approximately 150-200 MXN. The buses regularly depart throughout the day. Once you arrive at the Mazunte bus terminal, it’s a short walk (about 1 kilometer) to the beach. Follow the main road down to the coast.

Shared Taxi (Colectivo)
From Puerto Escondido, you can take a shared taxi (colectivo) that goes directly to Mazunte. These taxis can be found near the ADO bus terminal and depart when full. The cost is around 100-150 MXN per person, and the trip takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Mazunte, you will be dropped off at the main square, from which it is a short walk to the beach.
