Ferry
To reach the Coral Reefs Monument located at Avenida General, Av. Rafael E. Melgar 101 in San Miguel de Cozumel, start by heading to the Playa del Carmen ferry terminal. If you're in the central area of Playa del Carmen, simply walk towards the coastline until you reach the terminal, which is near the intersection of Calle 1 Norte and Avenida 5. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Cozumel. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Cozumel ferry terminal, exit the terminal and head towards Avenida Rafael E. Melgar, which is right in front of you. Turn left on Avenida Rafael E. Melgar and walk for about 10-15 minutes until you reach Avenida General, where you will find the Coral Reefs Monument.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Playa del Carmen to the ferry terminal. Just ask your hotel concierge or look for a taxi stand. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, buy a ticket for Cozumel. After the ferry ride, when you arrive at the Cozumel ferry terminal, you can either walk or take a taxi to the Coral Reefs Monument. If walking, exit the terminal and walk towards Avenida Rafael E. Melgar, turn left, and proceed for about 10-15 minutes until you reach your destination.

For a budget-friendly option, you can take a colectivo (shared van) from Playa del Carmen to the Cozumel ferry terminal. Look for a colectivo stop near your location, and ask for a ride to the ferry terminal. After arriving at the terminal, buy your ferry ticket to Cozumel. Once on Cozumel, follow the same directions: exit the terminal, head to Avenida Rafael E. Melgar, turn left, and walk for about 10-15 minutes to reach the Coral Reefs Monument.
