Start from the center of Playa del Carmen at the famous Quinta Avenida (5th Avenue). Head north on Quinta Avenida until you reach Calle 5 Norte (5th North Street). Turn right onto Calle 5 Norte and continue walking until you reach Avenida 10 Norte (10th North Avenue). Turn left and walk toward the beach. From your location in Playa del Carmen, walk to the nearest main road and look for a 'collectivo' stop. Collectivos are shared vans that travel along the main highway.
