Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from the central area of Playa del Carmen, head south on Avenida 5th. Continue walking until you reach Avenida 10th, then turn left. Walk down Avenida 10th until you reach Calle 1 Norte. Turn right onto Calle 1 Norte and follow it until you reach the beach. Playa Punta Esmeralda is located along the beach in the Nicte-ha neighborhood. Look for signs indicating the beach access.

Public Transport (Collectivo)
From the central area of Playa del Carmen, head to the nearest collectivo station. Take a collectivo heading towards Tulum and instruct the driver to drop you off at the Nicte-ha neighborhood. The drop-off point will be near the beach. Once you get off, head towards the beach access, and Playa Punta Esmeralda will be on your left.
