Collective Taxi (Colectivo)
To get to Playa Xpu-Ha from central Playa del Carmen, walk to the main avenue (Avenida 30) where you'll find colectivos heading to Tulum. Look for a colectivo marked with 'Tulum' on the windshield. Get on the colectivo and inform the driver that you want to get off at Playa Xpu-Ha. The ride typically takes about 20-30 minutes. The colectivo will drop you off on the highway near the entrance to the beach. From there, it’s a short walk to the beach entrance.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Playa del Carmen. Head south on Avenida 5, then take a right onto Avenida 30 and continue until you reach the highway (México 307). Turn left onto the highway and cycle for about 15-20 minutes. Look for signs for Playa Xpu-Ha, and follow the side road leading to the beach entrance. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay safe on the road.

Walking
Walking to Playa Xpu-Ha is not very practical due to the distance (about 15 km), but if you are up for a long hike, head south on Avenida 5 until you reach the end, then continue straight until you hit the highway (México 307). Turn left and walk along the highway, keeping an eye out for the entrance to Playa Xpu-Ha on your right. This will take a considerable amount of time, so it's advisable to start early in the day.
