Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the center of Playa del Carmen, head southwest on Avenida Constituyentes until you reach Avenida 10. Turn right onto Avenida 10 and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. Once you reach the intersection with Avenida 20, turn left. Continue on Avenida 20 for about 500 meters until you see signs for the Playacar area. Follow the signs to Fraccionamiento Playacar. As you enter Playacar, keep walking straight and look for Coral Negro. The Playacar Mayan Ruinas will be located within this private resort area.

Bicycle
From the central Playa del Carmen area, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Start by heading south on Avenida Constituyentes and then take a right onto Avenida 10. Ride straight for about 1.5 kilometers. When you reach Avenida 20, make a left turn. Continue cycling for about 500 meters until you see the signs for Playacar. Enter the Playacar area and follow the path towards Coral Negro. The ruins are located within this area.

Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from anywhere in Playa del Carmen. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Playacar Mayan Ruinas' located in Fraccionamiento Playacar. The taxi drivers are familiar with the area and will know exactly where to go. It should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.

Public Transport
You can take a colectivo (shared van) from the main terminal located on Calle 2 between Avenida 15 and Avenida 20 in downtown Playa del Carmen. Look for a van heading towards Playacar. Once you are dropped off at the entrance of Playacar, you will need to walk about 1 kilometer to reach the ruins. Follow the road signs towards Coral Negro and you will find the Playacar Mayan Ruinas in that area.
