Walking
If you are starting from the famous Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue), head south towards the Calle 12. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Avenida 10. Turn left onto Avenida 10 and continue walking until you hit Calle 6. Turn right onto Calle 6 and head towards the beach. You will soon see the entrance to Playacar, which is a gated community. Once you enter Playacar, follow the main road, P.º Xaman - Ha, and keep walking until you see the Old Lady Statue on your right. It's a short walk of about 30-40 minutes from Quinta Avenida.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops along Quinta Avenida. Head south along Quinta Avenida until you reach Calle 12, then turn left onto Avenida 10. Follow Avenida 10 until you reach Calle 6, where you will turn right. Enter Playacar through the main entrance, then ride along P.º Xaman - Ha. The statue will be on your right. This route should take about 15-20 minutes depending on your cycling speed.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a quicker option, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'P.º Xaman - Ha, Playacar.' The ride from the center of Playa del Carmen should take around 10 minutes. Make sure to confirm the exact location as you approach, so you can easily spot the statue once you arrive.
Public Transportation
Although Playa del Carmen is compact and walkable, you can also consider taking a public colectivo (shared van) that travels to the Playacar area. Catch a colectivo from Calle 2 or Calle 12 and ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to Playacar. From there, it’s a short walk along P.º Xaman - Ha to the Old Lady Statue. Expect the total travel time to be about 20-30 minutes.
