From Puebla, head to the Estrella de Oro bus terminal located at Calle 12 Oriente 1501, Puebla. Purchase a ticket to Amecameca, which is the closest town to Parque Nacional Iztaccíhuatl - Popocatépetl. Buses run frequently, so you won’t have to wait long. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Amecameca bus terminal, you will need to take a taxi or a local bus to the entrance of the national park.

After arriving at Amecameca, you can take a taxi directly to the entrance of Parque Nacional Iztaccíhuatl - Popocatépetl. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, as taxis do not have meters. The distance is about 12 kilometers and should take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
