Walking
If you are starting from the Ado Bus Terminal in Puerto Escondido, exit the terminal and head northeast on Calle 1 de Mayo. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Calle Oaxaca, turn left and walk until you hit the main road, Avenida Oaxaca. From there, turn right and walk straight until you reach the beach area. You should see signs pointing towards Playa Principal, which is located at Bahia Principal. The walk will take approximately 25-30 minutes.

You can easily find a taxi at various points around Puerto Escondido. Simply tell the driver 'Playa Principal' or show them the address: Bahia Principal, 71984 Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. The taxi ride from the Ado Bus Terminal to Playa Principal should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
