Getting There

Walking

If you are staying near the Ado bus terminal, head southeast on Calle 16 de Septiembre, then turn left onto Calle 20 de Noviembre. Continue straight until you reach the main road, where you will see signs for Playa Principal (Main Beach). Follow the signs, and in about 20 minutes of walking, you will arrive at Playa Principal. The beach is located along Bahia Principal.
Public Transportation (Collectivo)

From your hotel or accommodation, walk to the nearest collectivo stop. Collectivos are shared vans that operate throughout Puerto Escondido. Look for a collectivo heading to 'Centro' or 'Playa Principal'. The fare is usually around 10-15 pesos. Once you board the collectivo, it will take you directly to Playa Principal. The journey should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
Bicycle Rental

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops near your accommodation. After renting, head towards Calle 16 de Septiembre and follow it until you reach the main road. Then turn left and continue straight. Follow the signs towards Playa Principal. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, and you'll enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
