Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from Playa del Carmen and head south on Highway 307. Continue on this road for about 30 minutes until you reach Tulum. Once in Tulum, keep an eye out for signs towards Akumal. Take the exit towards Akumal and follow the signs. Once you arrive in Akumal Pueblo, turn onto Camino Uxuxubi. The destination will be approximately 800 meters down the road on your left. Ensure you have a GPS or map app to assist with navigation.

  • Public Transportation - ADO Bus

    From Playa del Carmen, you can take an ADO bus heading towards Tulum. Buses leave regularly from the ADO terminal. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and costs around 50-70 MXN. Once you arrive at the Tulum bus station, you will need to take a taxi or a colectivo (shared van) to Akumal Pueblo. Taxis are available at the station, and the ride to Akumal should cost about 200-300 MXN.

  • Public Transportation - Colectivo

    Alternatively, you can take a colectivo from Playa del Carmen to Tulum. Colectivos leave from the main road (5th Avenue) and are a more affordable option, costing around 35-50 MXN. After reaching Tulum, get off at the Tulum town center and transfer to another colectivo heading to Akumal. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes and cost around 20 MXN. Once in Akumal, walk or take a taxi to Camino Uxuxubi to reach your destination.
