Car
If you are driving from Cancun, take the 307 highway south towards Playa del Carmen. Once you reach Playa del Carmen, continue on the highway until you see the signs for Playacar. Turn left onto Avenida 10, and follow the signs into Playacar. You will arrive at Playa del Car, which is located within the Playacar area. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that some areas may require a parking fee.
Public Transportation
To reach Playa del Car using public transportation, take an ADO bus from Cancun to Playa del Carmen. The bus terminal is located in the center of Playa del Carmen. From there, you can either walk to Playacar (approximately 20 minutes) or take a local taxi. If walking, head south on Avenida 5 until you reach the beach, then follow the signs to Playacar. A taxi ride should cost around 50-100 pesos depending on your exact drop-off location.
Taxi
If you prefer to take a taxi directly to Playa del Car from your hotel or another location in Riviera Maya, simply ask the driver to take you to Playacar. The fare will vary depending on your starting point but generally ranges from 100 to 300 pesos. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Shuttle Service
Many hotels offer shuttle services to Playa del Car. Check with your hotel’s concierge for availability and to schedule a pickup. Shuttle services typically run on a fixed schedule and may charge a fee, usually around 200-400 pesos per person depending on the distance from your hotel.
