Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of San Cristobal de las Casas. Drive northeast on Calle 5 de Febrero, which will eventually become Carretera Rumbo a Tenejapa. Continue driving for about 8 kilometers. You will see signs for El Arcotete on your right side. Look for the entrance to the ecological park, which is well-marked. Note that parking is available on-site, and there might be a small fee for entrance into the park.

Public Transportation (Collectivo)
To reach El Arcotete via public transportation, head to the Collectivo station located at the corner of Calle 20 de Noviembre and Avenida 5 de Febrero in San Cristobal de las Casas. Board a collectivo heading to Tenejapa. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to El Arcotete. The fare is usually around 20-30 MXN. From the drop-off point, you may need to walk a short distance to the entrance of the park.

For a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in San Cristobal de las Casas. Provide the driver with the address: Carretera Rumbo a Tenejapa km 8, Ejido Río, Del Arcotete N. The taxi ride will take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. The fare will range from 150 to 250 MXN. Make sure to negotiate the price beforehand if you are not using a taximeter.
