From San Cristobal de las Casas, head south on Calle 20 de Noviembre towards Avenida 5 de Febrero. Continue on Avenida 5 de Febrero for approximately 3 km until you reach the junction with the road to 'Grutas del Mamut'. Turn right and follow the signs for about 10 km. The entrance to Grutas del Mamut will be on your left. Parking is available on-site.

To reach Grutas del Mamut via public transportation, head to the main bus terminal in San Cristobal de las Casas. Look for a bus or colectivo (shared taxi) going towards 'San Juan Chamula' or 'Tenejapa'. Inform the driver you want to go to Grutas del Mamut. The fare is approximately 30-50 MXN. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive, walk to the entrance, which is usually a short distance from where you are dropped off.
