If you are in the main square of San Cristóbal de las Casas (Plaza de la Paz), head towards the center of the plaza. You will see a small tourist information booth. From there, look for the street leading north, Calle 16 de Septiembre. Continue walking straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with Calle Francisco I. Madero. The Free Walking Tour San Cristobal de Las Casas starts near this intersection. Look for the gathering point marked by a sign or ask locals for directions.

If you are coming from nearby towns such as San Juan Chamula or Zinacantán, take a local bus to San Cristóbal de las Casas. Buses leave frequently from the main bus terminals in these towns. Once you arrive at the San Cristóbal bus terminal, exit and head south on Calle Manuel Velasco Suárez. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach Plaza de la Paz. The Free Walking Tour starts in this area, near the intersection of Calle 16 de Septiembre and Calle Francisco I. Madero.
