Xochicalco, Cuernavaca & Diego Rivera Mural Tour from Mexico City
Fantastic day tour to Xochicalco & Cuernavaca
Despite a drive of 2-3 hours from Mexico City you should do this tour. You will see one of the oldest monasteries of the country (nowadays the cathedral of Cuernavaca) with 17th century murals. Xochicalco is a ruined city with pyramids and a fortress (and many reliefs) which you will have mainly for yourself, at least during the week. Our guide and driver Arturo made sure we stayed hydrated. The lunch place had large portions too.
