Getting There

    If you are driving from central Tierra Caliente, head towards the main road that connects to the Mexico - Pachuca highway (Carretera Federal 85). Follow the signs for Pachuca. Once you reach the junction to the city of Pachuca, look for the signs pointing to the highway towards Cardonal (Pachuca - Cardonal - Tolantongo). Continue for approximately 2 hours until you reach the Ejido San Cristóbal area. The entrance to Grutas Tolantongo will be on your right, look for the large signs indicating the hot springs. There is a parking fee that ranges from 50 to 100 MXN depending on the season.

    For public transportation, take a bus from Tierra Caliente to Pachuca. Several bus companies operate this route, and the journey typically takes about 3 hours.
