Bicycle
If you're in Tulum town, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops. Head east on Avenida Tulum until you reach the Tulum ruins. Continue past the ruins and turn left onto the road leading to Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. Follow this road until you see signs for Laguna Muyil. It’s about a 20-30 minute ride from the town center.
Collectivo
From Tulum town, head to the main road (Avenida Tulum) where you can catch a collectivo (shared taxi) heading towards Felipe Carrillo Puerto. Tell the driver you want to go to Laguna Muyil. The journey will take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the boat tour agency.
Walking
If you are staying close to the Laguna Muyil area, you can walk there. From your accommodation, head towards the main road (Avenida Tulum) and walk south. Continue until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. Follow this road towards Laguna Muyil, which is approximately 2-3 kilometers away from the main road.
