If you are driving, the most common route to Las Pozas is via Highway 70. From major cities like San Luis Potosí, take the Highway 70 towards Ciudad Valles. Once in Ciudad Valles, follow the signs to Xilitla, which is approximately a 1.5-hour drive. Upon reaching Xilitla, follow the local signs to 'Las Pozas' which is located at Camino Paseo Las Pozas s/n Barrio La Conchita. There is a parking area available near the entrance, which costs around 50 MXN.
Public Transportation
To reach Las Pozas via public transportation, take a bus from San Luis Potosí to Ciudad Valles. The bus ride takes about 5-6 hours and costs approximately 300-400 MXN. Once you arrive in Ciudad Valles, you can catch a local bus or a taxi to Xilitla. The local bus ride will take about 1.5 hours and usually costs around 70 MXN. After arriving in Xilitla, you can either walk to Las Pozas, which is about a 30-minute walk from the town center, or take a taxi for approximately 100-150 MXN.
Taxi or Rideshare
If you prefer a more direct route without public transportation, consider taking a taxi or rideshare service from either San Luis Potosí or Ciudad Valles directly to Las Pozas. This option will likely be more expensive, costing around 1500-2000 MXN from San Luis Potosí and 600-800 MXN from Ciudad Valles.
