Car
If you are driving from Mérida, head east on the highway towards Tizimin (Mex 180). After approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, you will see signs for Chichén Itzá. Turn right onto the road that leads to the archaeological site. The entrance is about 5 kilometers down this road. Expect to pay a parking fee of around 30 MXN. The site is open daily from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Public Transportation
From the center of Mérida, take a bus to Chichén Itzá, which can be found at the main bus terminal. The bus company 'ADO' operates services to Chichén Itzá, and the journey takes about 2 hours. The round-trip ticket costs approximately 300-400 MXN. The buses usually depart in the morning and return in the late afternoon. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance.
