If you're driving, start by heading towards the nearest major city, such as Merida. From Merida, take the highway 180 heading east towards Valladolid. After about 90 kilometers, take the exit for the 295 road towards Tizimin. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Tizimin. From Tizimin, follow the signs to the area of La Iglesia, which is approximately 10 kilometers away. Use a GPS or maps app for real-time navigation.

Bus

If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a bus from Merida to Valladolid. Buses leave regularly from the ADO bus terminal in Merida, and the journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Valladolid, you can catch a local bus or taxi to Tizimin. The local buses to Tizimin can be found near the main plaza. The bus ride to Tizimin takes about 45 minutes. From Tizimin, you can either take a taxi or a local bus to reach La Iglesia, which is about 10 kilometers away. Expect to pay around 30-50 pesos for the bus fare and 100-150 pesos for a taxi.

Taxi

For a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from Merida to La Iglesia. This option is convenient but more expensive, costing approximately 1000-1500 pesos depending on negotiations with the driver. Ensure to agree on the fare before starting the journey. The taxi will take you directly to La Iglesia without the need to change transportation.
