Getting There

  • Bus

    From downtown Ann Arbor, head to the Blake Transit Center located at 327 E. Liberty St. Take the AAATA (Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority) bus route #12 towards 'Commerce Township' or 'Walled Lake'. Stay on the bus for about 30-40 minutes, and get off at the stop nearest to Glengary Rd. You may need to transfer buses depending on the exact route schedule. Check the AAATA website for the latest schedules and any necessary transfers. Once you get off, you can walk approximately 1 mile to Proud Lake Recreation Area.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in downtown Ann Arbor. Head northwest on N Main St, then turn left onto E Miller Ave. Follow the bike lanes until you reach Huron River Dr. Continue on Huron River Dr, which will eventually lead you toward Commerce Township. The ride is approximately 10 miles and will take around 45 minutes to 1 hour. Make sure to follow all biking rules and wear a helmet.
