Car
If you are driving from downtown Charlevoix, head east on E. Main Street for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto US-31 N and continue for approximately 1 mile. Take a right onto Mt. McSauba Road. Continue straight on Mt. McSauba Road for about 1 mile. The North Point Nature Preserve will be on your left, and there is a small parking area available.
Public Transportation
Currently, there is no direct public transportation service to North Point Nature Preserve from downtown Charlevoix. You can take a local taxi or ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft. If you choose a taxi, you will need to provide the driver with the address: Mt McSauba Rd, Charlevoix, MI 49720. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxi fares may vary, so confirm the cost with your driver before starting your journey.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy biking, you can cycle to North Point Nature Preserve from downtown Charlevoix. Start by heading east on E. Main Street, then turn left onto US-31 N. After about 1 mile, take a right onto Mt. McSauba Road. Please be cautious as US-31 can be busy. The ride is about 2 miles and should take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you reach the preserve, there is a bike rack available for parking.
Walking
Walking to North Point Nature Preserve is feasible if you enjoy a longer trek. From downtown Charlevoix, head east on E. Main Street and turn left onto US-31 N. Continue walking for about 1 mile before turning right onto Mt. McSauba Road. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace.
