Getting There

• Walking

  If you're already in Corktown, you can walk to the Guardian Building. Head east on Michigan Avenue towards the intersection with Trumbull Avenue. Turn left onto Trumbull Avenue and continue until you reach the intersection with West Grand Boulevard. At this point, turn right onto West Grand Boulevard and follow it as it curves into the downtown area. Continue on this road until you reach Woodward Avenue. Turn left onto Woodward Avenue and walk straight until you see Griswold Street. Turn right onto Griswold Street, and the Guardian Building will be on your left at 500 Griswold St.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  For those who prefer public transportation, you can take the SMART bus. Head to the nearest bus stop on Michigan Avenue and catch the #125 bus heading towards the Downtown area. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes or until you reach the stop at Woodward Avenue and Jefferson Avenue. From there, it's a short walk: head north on Woodward Avenue, then turn left onto Griswold Street. The Guardian Building will be at 500 Griswold St. The bus fare is approximately $2.00.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike, you can rent a bike from a local bike-share program. Start by heading north on 14th Street from Corktown. After a few blocks, take a right onto Michigan Avenue and follow it until you reach the intersection with Trumbull Avenue. From there, follow the same directions as the walking route. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws. Bike rentals typically cost around $10 for an hour.
