Getting There

• Car

  From anywhere in East Michigan, head towards US-31. If you are coming from the north, take US-31 South. If you are coming from the south, take US-31 North. Once you reach the town of Hart, take the exit for M-20 West. Follow M-20 for about 6 miles until you reach the junction with N 72nd Ave. Turn left onto N 72nd Ave and continue for about 1 mile. Then, turn right onto N Lighthouse Dr. Continue on N Lighthouse Dr, which will lead you directly to the Little Sable Point Lighthouse located at 287 N Lighthouse Dr, Mears, MI 49436. There is no parking fee at the lighthouse, but be prepared for a short walk from the parking area to the lighthouse itself.

  If you are using public transportation, take a Greyhound bus to Hart, MI, which is the nearest major stop to Little Sable Point Lighthouse. From Hart, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to the lighthouse since public transportation options are limited in the area. The distance from Hart to the lighthouse is approximately 9 miles. Be sure to check local taxi services in advance as availability may vary.

  For those feeling adventurous, biking to Little Sable Point Lighthouse is an option. Start by taking the same route as a car, heading towards Hart, then M-20 West.
