Car
If you're driving from East Michigan, take I-75 North towards Sault Ste. Marie. Continue on I-75 for approximately 200 miles. As you approach St. Ignace, take exit 344 toward Mackinac Island. After exiting, turn right onto US-2 E. Continue on US-2 E for about 2 miles, then turn left onto Church St. Straits State Park will be on your right at 720 Church St, St Ignace, MI 49781. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a Greyhound bus to St. Ignace. Once you arrive at the St. Ignace bus station, you can take a local taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to Straits State Park. The taxi ride will take about 5-10 minutes and cost approximately $10-$15, depending on traffic.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, there are bike-friendly routes available from nearby towns. From Mackinaw City, take the scenic route along US-23 to St. Ignace, which is about 10 miles. Once in St. Ignace, head to Church St and follow it to the park. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow local biking regulations.
Walking
If you happen to be staying in St. Ignace, Straits State Park is within walking distance from the town center. Head east on E. State St, then turn left onto Church St. Continue walking for about 1 mile, and you will reach the park entrance at 720 Church St, St Ignace, MI 49781.
