Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from downtown Harbor Springs, start by heading west on E Main St toward State Rd. Continue on State Rd for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left onto W Conway Rd. Hailand Nature Preserve will be on your left at 4941 W Conway Rd. There is parking available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  Currently, public transportation options directly to Hailand Nature Preserve may be limited, so it's recommended to check local transit schedules. If available, take a bus that heads towards Conway Rd. Once you get off at the nearest stop, you may need to walk approximately 1 mile west on W Conway Rd to reach Hailand Nature Preserve. Ensure you have proper walking shoes, as the route may not have sidewalks.

• Biking

  For those who enjoy biking, you can cycle from downtown Harbor Springs. Head west on E Main St then connect to State Rd. Follow State Rd and then turn left onto W Conway Rd. The total distance is roughly 3 miles. Make sure you have appropriate biking gear and check for bike paths or lanes along the route.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby and prefer walking, you can walk from the center of Harbor Springs. Follow E Main St west until you reach State Rd. Head north on State Rd for about 1.5 miles, then turn left onto W Conway Rd and continue until you reach Hailand Nature Preserve. Be prepared for a long walk, approximately 3 miles total, and ensure you are wearing comfortable footwear.
