Public Bus
Start at the Lansing Center on Michigan Ave. Catch the CATA bus route 25 (Okemos) at the bus stop near the center. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the best timing. Ride the bus for about 30 minutes and get off at the stop closest to Van Atta Rd. Walk east on Van Atta Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach Harris Nature Center. The center will be on your left.

Bicycle
If you have a bicycle, you can start at downtown Lansing and head east on Michigan Ave. Continue on Michigan Ave until you reach the intersection with Park Lake Rd. Turn left onto Park Lake Rd and follow it north until you reach Van Atta Rd. Turn right onto Van Atta Rd and continue for approximately 1.5 miles. Harris Nature Center will be on your right side.

From downtown Lansing, walk east on Michigan Ave towards the intersection with Park Lake Rd. Once you reach Park Lake Rd, turn left and walk north. Continue until you reach Van Atta Rd and turn right. Follow Van Atta Rd for about 1.5 miles. Harris Nature Center will be on your right. This walk will take about 40-50 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes!
