From any location in Lower Peninsula, make your way to US-131 North. Follow US-131 North to M-28 East. Continue on M-28 East until you reach the intersection with M-123 North in Newberry. Take M-123 North and follow it until you reach the junction with County Road 459. Turn left onto County Road 459, which will become H58. Continue on H58 for about 30 miles until you reach Log Slide Overlook, located at Highway 58, Grand Marais, MI 49839. There is no entrance fee to access the overlook, and you can park in the designated area.
