Adventurous Thrills at the Marquette Rope Swing

Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Marquette Commons located at 112 S 3rd St, Marquette, MI 49855. From there, head east on W Washington St towards N 3rd St. Continue straight until you reach N 3rd St, then turn right. Walk for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with N Front St. Turn left onto N Front St and continue walking for approximately 0.5 miles. You will see a trailhead for Presque Isle Park on your left; this is where you will start heading towards the lake. Enter the park and follow the paths that lead towards the water.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bike, rent one from a local shop. Start your journey from the Marquette Commons at 112 S 3rd St. Head east on W Washington St, then turn right onto N 3rd St. Continue straight until you reach N Front St and turn left. Ride north along N Front St for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance to Presque Isle Park. Once there, follow the bike paths that wind through the park, and keep an eye out for signs leading to the lakefront area.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  Take the Marquette Public Transit from the nearest bus stop to your location. Look for a bus that has a route going towards Presque Isle Park. Once you board, inform the driver of your destination or check the route map to ensure it stops at the park. After disembarking at the Presque Isle Park stop, follow the pedestrian paths leading to the waterfront. Look for signs directing you to the Rope Swing area.
